Looking back at my peer comments from the higher learning essay compared to my comments for recent projects like the social media project and the big data project, I can see the improvement I have made with my peer review skills. At the beginning of the year, I didn’t know what it really took to be a helpful peer reviewer. I would generally focus on simple revision like rewording a sentence, or correcting MLA format stuff. this class has allowed me to improve to the point that I can give good global revision feedback. In the last projects, I was providing my peers with feedback that I truly felt was helping them craft a better essay. In addition to helping out my peers, this class has helped me improve my ability to look at my own paper and make better global revision than I had in the past.
