In my every day life, there are many ways in which I generate big data. Probably the most common way that I generate it would be through my dialy social media use. Every day, I spend lots of time scrolling through different social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. On these sites, I am often posting and liking other people’s posts. Every time I like or post something, I am generating big data. Another thing that I do that generates big data is my use of GPS when i travel. Being an athlete, I drive myself to a lot of practices and games, often requiring the use of GPS. Even when I don’t use the GPS app, my phone is still generating big data, as it is constantly keeping track of my location. I also use Spotify on a daily basis. Every time I choose to listen to a song, I am adding to Big Data. My selection becomes a part of the general trend of  people’s preferences on Spotify. In addition, I have many apps on my phone that generate big data. Apps like Hulu or Netflix generate big data in the same way that Spotify does, adding my choices to a set of trends across the country. Basically,  the majority of things that I do on my electronic devices is adding to big data, even downloading the apps adds to big data because I become a part of the statistics showing which app is downloaded most.
