One of the classes that the skills I’ve gained in this class have been useful for would be biology. In both my biology class and my biology lab, we are given handouts that we are required to read. I have used some of the active reading strategies that I got from this class to read these handouts. One of the most useful methods would be the highlighting and pen combination that I have used for many of the articles in this class. When using these strategies in biology, I have been able to better understand the content of what I am reading, and it has better prepared me for the class and for the labs.
